There are photos that capture a moment, and there are memories that stay in the heart. Our digital guest book is exactly that mix – words, drawings, photos, and small stories our guests have left behind over the years.

For us, it isn't a collection of reviews or a list of awards.

It's a kind of family album we flip through whenever we want to remember the people who – if only for a few days – became part of our home.

Since 2002, countless families, couples, and friends from all over Europe have visited Apartment Carmen. Some came once, many came back several times, and some now visit us with their own children – children who once learned to swim here or drew their first pictures in our guest book.

Every message of thanks means a great deal to us. It confirms that we've managed to achieve what was always our goal – for our guests to feel welcome, relaxed, and safe, as if visiting friends.

These pages hold many small anecdotes we still tell with a smile today.

One of them happened when a car key ended up in the sea while swimming. After it was fished out, it no longer worked, so we drove our guests home, carefully dried the key out, and to everyone's delight, the car started again. That incident was recorded in the guest book with just one word – "PLOUF!" – and it still brings a smile to our faces whenever we read it.

Children's drawings hold a special place in our memories.

Our Irish Setter Ari was an especially beloved friend to our youngest guests. Many of them drew him just as children see him – big, good-natured, and always ready to play. Some of these drawings are so imaginative and heartfelt that we think they could easily belong in a real art gallery.

Today, many of those children are grown up. Some come back with families of their own, and some already bring their own children. That's perhaps the finest confirmation that what we create lasts far longer than a single summer holiday.

That's exactly why we want to share this collection of memories with you.

Not to boast about how many kind words we've received, but because we believe our guests' honest experiences speak volumes about the kind of hosts we are, and what you can expect when you come to Soline.

We hope you find a smile in these pages, maybe laugh at an anecdote or a child's drawing, and one day leave your own small mark here too.
